Changes of Dave/FRPG Games/NWN Multiplayer from #12 to #13

Changed lines at line 2
The manual, (Page 28) states that the login dialog is based upon the Bioware Community login. This has an associated e-mail account. The login dialog when playing NWN as a multiplayer game asks you to authenticate your self using the community login. The Login/Password pair are case sensitive at this point in time. {link:This thread at Bioware|http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/myviewtopic.html?topic=567790&forum=42} started by by me documents this fact.
 1.1 Links
 * {link:Bioware NWN Forum List|http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/} includes server admin forum.
 * {link:Bioware's NWN Technical Support FAQ|http://nwn.bioware.com/support/techfaq.html} includes some stuff on IP ports and firewalls. This may be relevant if trying to connect to an externally hosted game and I may have a problem with my router, which seems to require to know the address of the receiving PC, which if it aquires its address using DHCP is a problem.
 1.1 Sorcerer's Place
Sorcerers Place have a resource on Multiplayer {link:here...|http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/NWN/faq6.php}. I have not yet read it. It looks __very__ dated and not very technical.
 1.1 Bioware
They have a {link:Linux Server download page|http://nwn.bioware.com/downloads/standaloneserver.html}, which claims to hold a comments page.
 1.1 Other Resources
The google query {link:"nwn server linux"|http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=nwn+server+linux&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8} is interesting and I found Windforce & Harms {link:Linux Server Howto"|http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=nwn+server+linux&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8} which looks pretty good, but unfortunately uses screen. We'll have to see; screen works on the tty and they recommend using ssh, it could work as I want it to.
